PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily close the clearances in the joint parts of two sets of furniture when the partition, etc., of a room is carried out by arranging plural cabinets in juxtaposition by projectingly arranging cushion layers on the outside surfaces of the right and left furniture bodies and affixing decorative sheets to the surfaces of these cushion layers. SOLUTION: The cabinet as a housing partition unit has a main body 1 consisting of a box body placed on a plinth member installed on a floor surface and end rail members disposed in the clearance from the ceiling surface of a building. In such a case, the cushion layers 3 consisting of, for example, foamed urethane resin sheet materials are projectingly arranged by affixation to one surface of a base material consisting of plywood of the side plates 2 of such main body 1. A decoration seet 4 cosisting of a vinyl chloride seet material is adhered on the surface of this cushion layers 3. In the case the partition is carried out by using the cabinets, the side plates 2 of the plural main bodies 1 are brought into pressurized contact with each other via the cushion layers 3 to prevent the generation of the clearances between the main bodies 1 and 1.
