PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which has good thermal responsibility, exhibits reduced fogging of the ground, is excellent in the storage stability of a recorded image, moisture resistance, and plasticizer resistance, and is inexpensive. SOLUTION: In a thermal recording material made by forming a thermal color development layer containing a leuco-dye which is colorless or slightly colored at an ordinary temperature and an acidic organic substance which reacts with the leuco-dye for color development on a support, at least one compound expressed by the formula of R-Z-NH-(CH2)n-O-Z-R is incorporated into the color development layer as a sensitizer. In the formula, R is aryl or phenoxy group; Z is -CO- or -SO2-; n is an integer of 1-6; a combination in which R is phenoxy group and Z is -SO2- is excluded. |
