PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To access multi heads and print at all times by providing a printing means with a distributing transferring means for distributing and transferring image data in an ink-jet printer having the printing means including at least a plurality of multicolor heads. SOLUTION: Image data input from an image data input part 30 is brought in an image process part 40, where the data is subjected to a predetermined image-processing. The image process part 40 divides the image data of one sheet after the image-processing to three and transfers the data to corresponding responsible printer units 50. Each printer unit 50 drives a multicolor head 51 based on the input image data, so that one sheet of the image is printed as a whole. In other words, one sheet of the image is divided to three A-C areas and the A-C areas are serially printed by first - third multicolor heads 51. When the multicolor heads 51 finish printing the areas of respective responsibilities, one sheet of the image is completed fully. |
