PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slat adjustment mechanism for Persian blinds of which an adjustment mechanism of the slats can be easily attached and the obliquity can be easily adjusted and hence, the slats can be prevented from damage by dispersing an abnormal external force acting on the louvers. SOLUTION: When a lever 15 is operated, a sector gear 17 is turned and a rack 18 is vertically moved. A movable rod 4 is vertically moved by pins 21 fitted in oblong holes 20 of a part 19 forming the oblong holes made at both ends of the rack 18 to adjust the obliquity of the slats 6 hooked over a pin 5' of a fixed rod 3 and a pin 5 of a movable rod. In this time, a plate spring 23 is brought into contact with a notch 22 provided at the back face of the rack 18 and the rack 18 is brought to a stop at a required position and the inclination of the slat 6 is kept in the state. When an abnormal external force acts on the slat 6, since the plate spring is warped and the rack 18 and the movable rod 4 are shifted, the slat 6 can be prevented from damage.
