PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sort sheets into the plural trays while simplifying and miniaturizing whole the device. SOLUTION: An indexer 20 is provided vertically movably as a sheet moving means at the opposing part of plural carrying-in gates 13 at definite positions to plural outlets at the definite positions. The indexer 20 transfers sheets carried-in from the carrying-in gates 13 to the outlets in response to its moving position, so that the sheets are sorted to the trays 6 at the definite position corresponding to the outlets.
