PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the sealability of joint surfaces of both members by forming a sealant housing concave portion which seals a formless sealant leaving marginal joint surfaces, on a joint surface of a pump bracket joined to a vertical wall surface. SOLUTION: On a pump bracket 8, a joint surface 15 joined to a vertical wall surface formed on a hull is formed in the shape of an inverted letter U. Then, the upper half of an opening 8a of the pump bracket 8 is formed by the inside margin of the joint surface 15, and the lower half of the opening 8a is formed by the upper end of a water intake lip 9 integrally formed so as to project forward on the lower portion of the bracket 8. Furthermore, on the joint surface 15 of the pump bracket 8, an appropriate width contacting the edge thereof is provided, and a sealant housing concave portion 15b which houses a formless sealant s with marginal joint surfaces 15a left is formed. This makes it possible to facilitate work on sealing the hull and the pump bracket, and reliably prevent air draw to a pump portion.
