PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound obviating the necessity of incorporating a rubber blend with a siloxyl-functionalized polyorganosiloxane in combination with a silane adherent. SOLUTION: This new compound is a compound of formula I [R1 to R4 are each H, a 1-4C (halo)alkyl or the like; W is a group optionally bound to silicic acid, pref. a 1-4C (halo)alkoxy or the like; Y is a (halo)alkyl, phenyl, an aryl or aralkyl or the like; Z is a 0-6C alkylidene; A is a group bindable to at least one elastomer in the rubber blend, being mercapto (SH) or thiocyanate (SCN) when (q) is 1, being disulfide (S2) or polysulfide (Sx) ((x) is 2-10) when (q) is 2; (k+m+n+p)>=3] which is obtained by reaction of a compound of formula II with MSH, MSCN or M2Sx (M is a metal ion), or M2S and S, in an alcohol (W-H) e.g. at 20-150 deg.C under catalytic conditions at normal pressures.
