PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable two modes, a mode ensuring creep running by generation of large torque by a first speed shift and a mode of hill hold control so as to prevent reversing on a sloping road or the like, only by selecting a shift lever. SOLUTION: A means judging whether a shift position of an automatic transmission selects or not a forward running position except a drive position is provided (step 530), and hill hold control locking a wheel is executed (step 570) only when the forward running position except the drive position is judged further with a prescribed condition (step 540, 550) materialized.
