PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer having a compact constitution of a low cost with simple operability. SOLUTION: The printer comprises a plate drum unit 1 for containing thermosensitive water repellent printing plates 1-1, 1-2 in a plate drum, a writer 22 for writing print data on the plates, a developing unit 23 for supplying printing ink to the plates, a transfer unit 24 having a transfer 24-1 for transferring the ink supplied to the plate, a transfer roller unit 25 for transferring the ink transferred to the transfer to a printing sheet S, a printing sheet supply unit 27 for supplying the sheet, and a cleaning unit 26 for cleaning the transfer after printing is finished and the like.
