PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the static charged phenomenon generated by the friction of a thermal transfer sheet with an image receiving body, form an image of superior printing quality stably and also prevent the generation of static troubles caused by the destruction of a thermal head and the like by adding a conductive titanium oxide of a specified content to a surface layer. SOLUTION: A thermal transfer ink layer composed of a coloring agent and a vehicle as main components is formed on a base surface of a polyethylene terephthalate film or the like. A surface layer is formed on the thermal transfer ink layer. As for the vehicle on the surface layer, a vehicle composed of a wax as a main component is preferably used, and as a conductive titanium oxide to be contained therein, a titanium oxide coated with a tin dioxide and an antimony pentoxide is used. The average particle diameter of titanium oxide is preferably approximately 1.0 μm or smaller. The content of the conductive titanium oxide is set approximately as 10-50 wt.%. The transfer properties are not lowered and the sufficient charge prevention effect can be provided by the arrangement. |
