<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the overall length of a drive device and to use a motor of a general shape having a high level of general applications by arranging a first motor and a second motor on separate shafts, and arranging a first planetary gear and a secondary planetary gear respectively on separate shafts laid in parallel with each other. SOLUTION: An automobile equipped with this drive device is a hybrid type having two power sources of an engine 30, and a first motor 46 and a second motor 56. Also, an input shaft 32, a first planetary gear 10 and an output shaft 40 are coaxially arranged, and a second planetary gear 20 is arranged on a separate shaft. The first motor 46 and the second motor 56 are arranged on separate shafts at both sides of the intermediate part of the shafts for planetary gears 10 and 20. When both gear are arranged at an axially overlapped position as mentioned, the overall length of the drive device can be reduced, and a motor of general shape having a high level of general applications can be used for the first motor 46 and the second motor 56.</p> |
