PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a woven/knit fabric with lightweight feeling, stretchability and high resilience by using helical multifilament yarns with longitudinal multilayer hollow structure thereinside. SOLUTION: This woven/knit fabric is obtained by the following process: side-by-side or sheath-core type polyester conjugate multifilament yarns each composed of at least two kinds of polyester-based polymer differing in thermal shrinkage characteristics from each other are twisted with a twist multiplier of 700-15,000 followed by bundling and twisting with self-elongative polyester multifilament yarns into composite filament yarns, which, in turn, are woven/ knitted into a woven/knit fabric which is then heat-treated in a slackened condition to convert the composite filament yarns to helical ones with longitudinal two-layered hollow structure thereinside.
