PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition for powder coating, capable of giving mild reactivity, capable of being sufficiently kneaded when the powder coating is produced, and capable of securing melt flowability of the coating when baked, by using a specific epoxy group-containing acrylic resin. SOLUTION: This resin composition comprises (A) an epoxy group-containing acrylic resin which comprises (i) an epoxy group-containing acrylic acid-based derivative of the formula [R1, R2, R3, R8, R9, R10, R14, R15, R16 and R17 are each H, phenyl or a 1-8C alkyl; R11 is H, methyl or ethyl; X is methylene; (n) is 1-10] and (ii) another polymerizable monomer, contains two or more epoxy groups in a molecule, and has an epoxy equivalent of 100-2,000 and a number-average molecular weight of 300-20,000 and (B) a carboxy-group containing curing agent, wherein an equivalent ratio of the epoxy groups in the component A to the carboxy groups in the component B is 0.5-2.0. A carboxylic acid, which has a number-average molecular weight of <=500 and is two or more functional, or the like is preferably used as the component B.
