PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyurethane-based aqueous resin emulsion excellent in stability, solvent resistance or the like. SOLUTION: This polyurethane-based aqueous resin emulsion is obtained by the emulsion polymerization of an ethylenic unsaturated monomer in the presence of a polyurethane-based emulsion obtained by reacting a polyurethane polymer having an isocyanate group in its molecule with (A) a vinyl alcohol- based polymer having at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of amino, primary hydroxyl and acetoacetyl groups in its molecule and (B) a low molecular weight compound having amino group or hydroxyl one in its molecule in an aqueous medium.
