PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To not only eliminate a response of operator at the side of a monitor center but also make a quick inspection when communication between the inside of an elevator car and the monitor center is to be verified. SOLUTION: A tone quality conversion device 34 converting the tone quality of voice from a car communication device 1 so as to send it back, is provided for the side of a monitor center, and a selection device 11 is provided, which selects either one of a communication device 32 at the monitor center side or the tone quality conversion device 34 so as to let a selected one be connected with the car communication device 1. When communication is to be verified, the car communication device 1 is connected with an inspection terminal device 33 by way of a telephone line, and when a maintenance person speaks out for a microphone 3, its voice signal is returned back to the car side through the telephone line 20 and the tone quality conversion device 35, and voice after the conversion is thereby outputted out of a speaker 4 within the car without delay.
