PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To introduce cutting fluid or the like into a spindle easily by increasing the degree of freedom in location of an inlet port via which cutting fluid or the like is introduced into the spindle so as to be fed to a working portion. SOLUTION: The automatic tool changer changes tools between a tool magazine and a spindle nose in dependence on workpieces by means of a composite cam mechanism providing rotary and to-and-fro movement for an arm shaft. A spindle easing 1 holds a built-in motor 52 as a source of rotation for a spindle 2. The spindle 2 has a built-in member forming a sliding mechanism, which is formed with a through hole for leading cutting fluid and compressed air to a tool 53, and has on its rear end a rotary joint 69 as an inlet port via which cutting fluid and compressed air are introduced into the spindle 2 that leads them to the tool 53.
