<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate various kinds of plastics from the waste plastics in the general and industrial wastes. SOLUTION: The diameter of a fluidized-bed tower 1a is varied in the height direction in multiple stages. Pulsated air 5 is introduced into the tower 1a from its lower face, and an ascending air current is injected on the waste plastics 6 in the tower 1a to form a fluidized bed 2 of the waste plastics 6. The ascending air current introduced from the lower part of the fluidized bed 2 is pulsated to vibrate the waste plastics 6 so that the waste plastics are separated into plastics A and B, plastics C and D and plastics E and F in each stage. The pulsation frequency and flow rate of the ascending air current are controlled so as to separate plastics into the plastics A to F, as required. A chlorine-contg. plastic is separated from the waste plastics with high efficiency in this way, and further the waste plastics are separated into many kinds.</p> |
