PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile occupant protective device and a system having theft preventive and alteration preventive functions. SOLUTION: A circuit chip comprises a semiconductor bridge circuit (SCB), and the SCB starts operation of an occupant protective device 16A that can be actuated. The circuit chip comprises a memory for holding identity identification 70A of the device 16A that can be actuated. Preferably, the circuit chip is a part of an automobile occupant protective system 12. The system 12 is provided therein with a control device 14 and a communication inter connection 44 making device actuation controllable by communication between the control device 14 and the device 16A. The control device 14 comprises a theft preventive function 78 for identifying the identity of the device 16A held in the memory. The theft preventive function determines whether the identified identity of the device corresponds to specified identity, and supplies a signal showing the determination.
