PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a shift in a main scan direction when an emission shift time of a plurality of laser diodes is given rise to on an output image by correcting a timing for outputting each image signal with correction timing data set by a user before outputting image information. SOLUTION: An engine controller 105 modulates laser lights by a first and a second laser diodes 107 according to a first and a second image signals from a video controller 103 and generates a latent image on a face of a drum 112. After a toner is developed on the drum 112, the toner is transferred to a recording medium by a transfer process. In the video controller 103, a timer controls a time difference of the first and second image signals and the setting of the timer is changed and adjusted when the image is output with a time shift. At this adjustment, a user operates a switch on an operational panel to set a correction value, thereby setting a timing with the correction value.
