PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect an invading subject and effectively repulse the invading subject by installing an infrared light lens, an infrared light image- capturing element, a signal-processing part, an infrared light image-outputting part, an image-processing part, a controlling processor and an intimidating means. SOLUTION: This area invasion detector is provided by measuring the size of a small animal such as a bird or an animal detected by an image-processing part with a size-judging circuit, comparing the size with optionally set threshold values and outputting a detecting signal in the case of judging it as the small animal. As the threshold values, a lower limit and an upper limit for the small animals invading into a field are set. In the case of detecting a worker, since the detected signal is larger than the upper limit, a sound is not generated from a sound-generating device 9.
