PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material separation feeding device capable of preventing non-feeding and double feeding of a sheet material regardless of kinds of the sheet material and certainly separating the sheet materials accumulated in a large number. SOLUTION: A guide 20a lower by one stage than a friction pad 16 is provided on the side of the friction pad 16 on a friction pad type sheet material separation feeding device. In the case of separating and feeding a sheet material having weak stiffness, the sheet material P makes contact with the friction pad 16 direct, and in the case of separating and feeding a sheet material having strong stiffness, more than specified force applied on the friction pad 16 is dispersed on the guide 20a and it makes contact with the friction pad 16, and accordingly, even with any kinds of the sheet materials, it is possible to prevent non-feeding and double feeding of the sheet material P and to certainly separate and feed wide sheet materials.
