PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a bottom surface to be raised easily at the time of adressing and further enable take-backing to be directed directly corresponding to the hitting direction in a metal putter body with the bottom surface extending rearward from a lower edge of a front ball hitting surface by forming a protrusion formed on the bottom surface in a substantially stepped shape at a rear part of the lower edge. SOLUTION: A ball hitting surface (face) 1 is formed at a front surface of a metal putter body 3 mounted at a tip of a shaft 7, and an arc-shaped protruding bottom surface (sole) 2 is formed from an arc-shaped protruding lower edge 1' of the face 1 to the rear direction. A protrusion 4 whose axis is parallel or vertical to the lower edge 1' of the face is formed on a bottom surface 2, and the protrusion 4 is formed in a comical shape where an inclination surface 4a is formed from a top 4" to the bottom surface 2. The top 4" is included in a hit area of the face 1. The height from the bottom surface 2 to the top 4" is e.g. about not more than 10 mm or therearound.
|
