<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lightweight non-fired tile having a good appearance and a high strength by press-molding a composition comprising fine hollow ceramic particles having a water pressure-resistant strength and a melting point at specific values or larger, respectively, pulverized pottery particles, a synthetic resin emulsion, a cement and water into a tile-like product, and placing a thin plate-like core in the molded product. SOLUTION: This lightweight non-fired tile is obtained is pressing and molding a composition comprising a synthetic resin emulsion as a binder, a cement as a binder, fine hollow ceramic particles having a water pressure-resistant strength of >=600 kgf/cm2 and a melting point of >=1,500 deg.C, and pottery waste pulverized particles. Therein, a thin plate-like core is placed in the molded product. The fine porous ceramic particles reflect light, and gives excellent luster and excellent brightness to the surface of the tile. The core placed in the molded product includes various thin plates comprising metals, inorganic materials, plastics, etc., and has a thickness of 0.5-15.0 mm.</p> |
