PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which is excellent in wear resistance under very severe conditions and also in cornering characteristic, traction characteristic and braking characteristic on snow and ice by compounding a specified amount of silica-containing carbon black to a rubber component. SOLUTION: 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component (A) is compounded with 5 to 50 pts.wt. of silica-containing carbon black (B). The component B is one wherein carbon black and silica are three-dimensionally mingled in one particle wherein both are exposed on the surface of the particle, and which is prepared, for example, by simultaneous reaction of an organic siloxane with a starting oil. The composition should preferably contain 0.1 to 25 wt.% of the silica relative to the carbon black. Further, a powder product containing a cellulose material may be compounded. The content of the cellulose material in the powder product should preferably be 50% or over, and the average size is preferably 20 to 600μm. The amount of the powder product is preferably 1 to 12 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the rubber component.
