PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a stopper for a container hardly slip off from the opening of the container, and to prevent the stopper for the container from slipping off from the opening even when the internal pressure of the container increases. SOLUTION: In the stopper 12 for the container, which has a stopper main body 13 made of a synthetic resin and can hermetically seal a bottle mouth 10 with the stopper main body 13 inserted in the bottle mouth 10 of the bottle 11, the stopper main body 13 has a small-diameter part 6 and a large-diameter part 5 each of which is formed of a cylindrical peripheral-face, and the peripheral face of the large-diameter part 5 and the circular internal face of the bottle mouth 10 are in firm contact with each other with the stopper main body 13 inserted in the bottle mouth 10. The small- diameter part 6 is situated nearer to a hollow part 17 in the bottle 11 than the large- diameter part 5, and two projections 14 which abut on the internal face of the bottle mouth 10 are provided in the range of approximately 105 deg. or less on the peripheral face of the small-diameter part 6. Also, the stopper main body 13 is provided, on its external face, with four grooves 15, which allow the hollow part 17 in the bottle 11 and the outside of the bottle 11 to communicate with each other with the stopper main body 13 hermetically sealing the bottle mouth 10 moved a specific length in the direction where it becomes detached from the bottle mouth 10. |
