PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a record sheet from sticking to an image carrier by continuing the absorption of the record sheet for a prescribed time, when the record sheet is near a transfer part on a carrier passage in detecting abnormality. SOLUTION: Whether an abnormal signal is transmitted from a main controller 8 is judged and when the abnormal signal expressing such abnormality as to stop a device is transmitted from the main controller to a controlling means 7, the control means 7 judges whether a record sheet is near a secondary transfer device (transfer part) or not. When the record sheet is not present near the second transfer position, the control means 7 transmits a drive signal to drive motors 54ma, 54mb and rotation motors 545a, 545b to stop the carrier and the absorption of the record sheet right away, and when the record sheet is near the second transfer position, after the lapse of a prescribed time, the control means 7 transmits a drive signal to the drive motors 54ma, 54mb and the rotation motors 545a, 545b to stop the carrier and the absorption of the record sheet right away. |
