PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and firmly join a tappet main body and a cam receiving plate having different materials together. SOLUTION: A recessed part 4 having upward swelling parts 5 on its upper surface opening part is formed on the top surface of a tappet main body 2, and a projecting part 9 capable of being fitted to the recessed part 4 with allowance is formed on the facing surface to the recessed part 4, on the lower surface of a cam receiving plate 3. The recessed part 4 and the projecting part 9 are fitted to each other, the cam receiving plate 3 is placed on the top surface of the tapped main body 2, the tappet main body 2 and the cam receiving plate 3 are energized, and the tappet main body 2 and the cam receiving plate 3 are brought into pressure-contact with each other while resistance-heating and softening the swelling parts 5. The swelling parts 5 are allowed to plastically flow into the recessed part 4, the projecting part 9 is restricted in the recessed part 4, and the cam receiving plate 3 is fixed to the tappet main body 2. |
