PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open enough a document press-fixing plate without knocking on a wall even when a backside of a copier, etc., abuts on the wall. SOLUTION: A hinge device is provided with an attaching member 4 attached on a main body, and a rotational member 1 rotatably attached on the attaching member 4 through hinges 7a, 7b. Moreover, the hinge device is provided with teeth around the hinges 7a, 7b, and racks 5a, 5b elongated in a horizontal direction to fix so as to be meshed with the teeth. Hereby, since the hinges 7a, 7b move in a left direction when the rotational member 1 is rotated in a right direction, the distance between hinges 7a, 7b and a wall 11 is extended, so that an exterior 11 can be greatly opened without collision of the exterior 12 and the wall 11.
