PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a sterilization effect by incorporating an electric field intensity portion above a specific value into a pulse electric field waveform and impressing the pulse electric field of the time integrated value of a specific value or above >=1 times thereto. SOLUTION: The electric field intensity portion above 15 kV/cm is included into the pulse electric field waveform. Unless the pulse electric field waveform includes the same, a sterilization effect is substantially not obtainable. The pulse electric field larger than 20 kV.cm-1.μs in the time integrated value of the electric field intensity is impressed >=1 times to a liquid material. As a result, when the time integrated value of the electric field intensity exceeds 20 kV.cm-1.μs, the survival rate of the coliform bacilli per shot lowers than about 1.0 and the sterilization effect appears. If the number of shots is increased, the survival rate may further be lowered. As the time integrated value is larger, the survival rate is lower and the sterilization effect is higher, the sterilization effect may thus be improved. |
