摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machine which is free from any problems on the balance of the peak intensity or those on the machine side, compact in size, and efficient in machining by providing two sets of laser beam resonators having a laser medium, and capable of emitting at least the laser beam different in pulse width and the peak output, and a polarized control element to couple the optical axes of the laser beams emitted from the respective laser beam resonators. SOLUTION: P and S polarized laser beams 9, 19a are emitted from two sets of laser beam resonators having laser media 6, 16 respectively and comprising total reflecting mirrors 1, 11 and partial reflecting mirrors 2, 12, and since two laser beam oscillation optical axes are present, the optical axes are coupled into one by using a zero shift mirror 102 and a polarized separation mirror 104 in this example. Since the laser beam resonator to be used in the Q switch pulse operation is separated from a laser beam oscillator to be used in the regular continuous oscillation and the pulse operation, the mean output of the laser beam passing through an electro-optical amplitude modulator 7 can be set to the mean output of the Q switch pulse.</p>
