<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper arm support apparatus for measuring blood pressures which does not cause a drop in the blood pressure measuring accuracy related to the deviation of the height position of a mounting part of an arm band with respect to the heart. SOLUTION: In the downward movement process in which an upper support member moves downward with an upper arm of a living being thereon 60, the downward movement of an upper arm support member 60 is stopped by a link device 79 containing a stopper bracket 66 and a second stopper surface 74 (stop means) 2 which are kept in contact with each other when the angle thereof reaches a preset angle to the horizontal line so that the height position of an arm band wound on the upper arm preferably coincides with the height position of the heart of the living being while being kept as it is. Thus, the height position of the arm band is automatically adjusted so as to let the arm band wound on the upper arm of the living being be kept as high as the heart to preferably eliminate a drop in the blood pressure measuring accuracy related to the deviation of the height position of a mounting part of the arm band with respect to the heart.</p> |
