PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the fore and rear dimension of a mast portion including a balance weight as much as possible, and moreover facilitate inspection and replacing work, etc., to moving parts such as the weight and a wrap transmitting member, etc. SOLUTION: A mast main body 17 is formed into an opened cross section shape on a horizontal surface, to form a recess 26 opened on the side opposite to a carriage 16 side, and the recess 26 is formed so as to house a balance weight 19 in a vertically movable condition. The body 17 is formed of one front side member 30 provided with guide grooves 25, and a pair of rear side members 31a and 31b for forming the member 30 and also the recess 26. Connecting members 32 and 33, for connectably fixing both end parts for forming the opening part 27 of the recess 26, are provided on three places in a vertical direction at the rear side of the body 17.
