PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety and operability in elevating a wash-line pole, by easily and substantially building a reduction gear between the rotating shaft and the rotating drum of a motor. SOLUTION: A worm gear 27 is forced into the rotating shaft 26 of a motor 4. A reduction gear is built between the worm gear 27 and a rotating drum in order to reduce the output from the worm gear 27. The reduction gear has a gear arrangement such that the direction of the weight acting on the worm gear 27 through the rotating drum and the reduction gear by the vertical weight of a wire 11 is the same to the direction in which the worm gear 27 is forced into the rotating shaft 26 of the motor 4.
