SOLUTION: CPU 56 acts according to a game control program in which a routine to periodically output one pulse at a low level from a bit in an output port 579 is included. When a pulse from the output port 579 is interrupted, a timer circuit 691 comes to time-up and a low level pulse is generated from a one shot pulse generating circuit 692 to reset CPU 56.
