PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simple device wherein screen residues or grits of a grit chamber of sewerage are taken in to recover them by means of a strainer and a net bag, returning only water to the grit chamber safely and surely. SOLUTION: A snake pump 2 is disposed outside a grit chamber 1, and a sealed feed part 3 of the pump 2 is connected to a bottom part of a strainer sealed tank 4 by a pipe 5. A suction hose 6 is connected to the upper end of the tank 4 to take in screen residues 8 or grits 9 of the grit chamber 1 from a forward end opening 7 of the hose 6. A strainer made of iron 10 is fixed in the tank 4, and a net bag made of a synthetic resin is provided within the strainer 10 to collect the residues 8 or grits 9 into the net bag.
