摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a fluid pressure properly relating to a coefficient of friction of a road surface, in a fluid pressure control device controlling the pressure of a wheel cylinder in such a manner that an actual slip rate of a wheel approaches a target slip rate. SOLUTION: In the case of increasing a fluid pressure to a preset value or more by increasing a target slip rate to a preset value or more, the target slip rate is increased for improving a condition without effectively utilizing a coefficient of friction of a road surface due to insufficiency of the fluid pressure. In the case of a small increase of the fluid pressure relating to an increase of the target slip rate, the target slip rate is maintained in the same value by considering a condition utilizing the coefficient of friction of the road surface to almost the maximum limit. In this way, the target slip rate can be determined to a value capable of utilizing the coefficient of friction of the road surface to the maximum limit, and the fluid pressure can be controlled to a proper value relating to the coefficient of friction of the road surface.
