摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct high precision plate thickness control by giving an action command to an adjusting device between rolls at the time that is earlier than a response lag characteristic of a mechanical system by a fixed time so as to easily make the timing to give an action command appropriate. SOLUTION: A material 1 is rolled by a rolling roll 2 and is measured by a device 3 which measures a plate thickness deviation of a material to be rolled. A controller 4 calculates a roll gap required to reduce a plate thickness deviation from a target plate thickness after rolling. A controller 5 stores the calculated value of the controller 4, and gives an action command to a device to adjust the roll gap of a rolling mill at an appropriate timing. At this time, an action command is given to an adjusting device between rolls at the time that is earlier than a response lag characteristic of a mechanical system by a fixed time tFF. The tFF is 1/KP and a real number obtained from a characteristic of the roll gap adjusting device of the rolling mill.</p>
