PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely hold a sliding door at an intermediate door-opening position. SOLUTION: The power sliding device for a sliding door of a vehicle has a wire drum 8 connected to the sliding door 2, a motor 7 for rotating the drum 8, a clutch mechanism 15 installed between the drum 8 and the motor 7, a control section controlling the rotation of the motor 7 and a sensor detecting the sliding movement of the sliding door 2. The control section 45 turns the motor 7 in either direction when the sensor has detected a sliding movement of the sliding door 2 during the operation suspension of the motor 7, and the motor changes over the clutch mechanism 15 to a first connecting state or a second connecting state. |
