PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vertically open and close a lid to the opening of a container body. SOLUTION: An arm 18 is provided on a lid 14 of a gastight container 11. A slide block 21 is passed through a hole 19 made in the arm 18 and is rotatably supported by means of a shaft 22. A link 28 is rotatably connected with the edge of the arm 18 on the opposite side of the lid 14 by means of a shaft 30 passing through its long hole 29. A stopper 23 is provided on the slide block 21 in such a way that the lid 14 does not rotate to the more lower side than the horizontal condition. When the slide block 21 is moved in the vertical direction by means of a hydraulic cylinder 25 like this, the lid 14 and the arm 18 are moved in parallel in the vertical direction by the length of the long hole 29 of the link 28. As the result, it is possible to prevent an O-ring 17 from being twisted by the underside of the lid 14.
