PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate flow-out of an endless ink ribbon carelessly to an exterior and overturn of the ribbon in a ribbon storage part at the time of transporting by providing a ribbon storage case for folding and containing the ribbon before using, and partly locking the case in a cassette case. SOLUTION: A ribbon containing case 4 for folding and feeding an ink ribbon 2 in advance into a ribbon container 3 of a cassette case 1 is locked to a locking unit 6. Since the ink ribbon cassette of this constitution has the box- shaped ribbon storage case 4, a special cover or a ribbon overturn preventing stopper is eliminated. Thus, the ribbon 2 is not sprung out before mounting. Further, even if a lengthy ribbon is in the container, the cassette in which the ribbon is not overturned at the time of transporting or not failed to be fed can be obtained.
