PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevating legless chair which may be driven by a small drive source and may be made smaller in size and compact over the entire part of its mechanism. SOLUTION: This elevating legless chair is constituted by freely liftably supporting a seat part by means of the link mechanism 2. The seat part is lifted by means of a cam 3 from the lowermost position up to a prescribed height and is lifted by moving and driving the link 4 itself of the link mechanism 2 at the height above these heights. As a result, the seat part is lifted not by driving the link 4 itself but by the cam 3 from the lowermost position up to the prescribed height and since the seat part may be lifted by small driving force, the driving source may be made smaller in size and compact.
