PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid opening/closing device for a hot water supply pot allowing a lid body to be opened only by a specific simple operation to heighten the safety of hot water in the pot and excellent in water resistance. SOLUTION: A correct code number is inputted using a ten-key pad 9. A CPU mounted on a circuit board 7 therefore judges the code number correct. On the basis of the judged result, a solenoid device 6 is switched on by a driving circuit, and a rod body 5 which is a locking means is moved to release engagement with a lid body 3, thus making the lid body 3 rotatable. Such constitution prevents an outsider who does not know the code number from opening the lid body.
