PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition in which heat resistance of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymerization rubber is further improved by blending a certain amount of cerium oxide with a composition which comprises an ethylene-α-olefin copolymerization rubber as a main component. SOLUTION: 0.5-5 pts.wt. of (B) cerium oxide are blended with per 100 pts.wt. of (A) an ethylene-α-olefin copolymerization rubber. The component (A) is a copolymer of ethylene and anα-olefin, a copolymer of ethylene, anα-olefin and a non-conjugated diene or the like, and a non-crystalline. As anα-olefin, a 3-10Cα-olefin is cited and as a non-conjugated diene, a 5-15C non-conjugated diene or the like is cited. As the component (A), materially, an ethylene- propylene copolymer rubber (EPDM), an ethylene-propylene ethylidene- norbornene copolymer rubber, or the like is cited, and among these, the EPDM is preferable.
