PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dung collector for a dog or a cat, or the like, having an excellent handleability capable of quickly, simply and readily performing a work under pulling a dog by one hand and treating dung of the dog by another hand, and a small animal catcher usable with the same structure. SOLUTION: This dung collector for a dog or a cat is composed of a collector body 1 having a device body part 11 comprising an opened port part directing toward the dung of the dog or the cat, or the like, constructing a space for receiving dung of the dog or the cat, or the like, and having a shovel- like projecting part 12 in front of itself, a handle part 13 fitted on the device body part 11 for holding and transferring the device body part 11, an opening and closing cap 14 fitted to the opened port part and a cap opening and closing means 15 for opening and closing the opening and closing cap 14 by a longitudinal transferring by an operating means provided on the handle part 13, and an inner part body 2 inserted into the device body part 11 of the collector body 1 from its rear part and having an opened port in the same direction as the opened port part of the device body part 11 for receiving dung of the dog or the cat, or the like, and a dung receiving bag 25 is detachably provided in the inner part body.
