PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a worker's burden and to shorten the operation time by easily and safely inputting required data suitable for a machining form of desired discharge machining. SOLUTION: This setting device includes a storage device 6 for storing three- dimensional pattern or photos of machining forms corresponding to plural machining forms, respectively, a display device 8 capable of displaying a screen of a mode suitable for inputting required data according to the machining form of desired discharge machining and displaying in relation to an input means for switching the three-dimensional pattern or photos to the screen of the mode, an operating device 7 for selecting the screen of the mode suitable for the machining form of desired discharge machining, and a control device 9 for switching to the screen of the mode selected by the operating device 7, wherein the input means is operated by the operating device 7 to switch to the screen of the mode.
