<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for continuous hot air welding at least one stripe of a strip-like sheet to an intermediate position of a wide base material sheet. SOLUTION: The hot air welding apparatus continuously welds with hot air at least one stripe of a stripe-like sheet B to an intermediate position of a wide base material sheet A. In this case, the apparatus comprises a long shaft backup roll 2 for supporting the sheet A from below, a short shaft roll 3 suspended from at least one frame 6 for pressing the sheet B from above, a guide 7 for guiding and positioning the sheet B to a predetermined position of the sheet A and a hot air supply nozzle 9 for supplying hot air between the sheet A and the sheet B. Thus, the feeding sheets A and B are heated by the hot air, and sandwiched between the rolls 2 and 3, and thermally welded.</p> |
