PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester resin capable of being advantageously used for a blow molded product excellent in transparency and heat resistant dimensional stability. SOLUTION: This polyester resin for a blow molded product has a recurring unit of ethylene terephthalate and contains at least one kind of a metal compound selected from among a Mg compound, Ca compound, Co compound, Mn compound and Zn compound, and also a P compound and Sb compound in amounts satisfying the following (1) to (3) and is blended with at least one kind of basic nitrogen compound in 0.01-1 mol% based on the polyester resin. 0.1<=M<=3 (1) 0.1<=M/P<=2 (2) 0.2<=Sb<=3 (3) (M is the number of moles of a metal atom in at least one metal compound selected from among the Mg compound, Ca compound, Co compound, Mn compound and Zn compound contained in 1 ton polymer; P is the number of moles of P atom in the P compound contained in 1 ton polymer; Sb is the number of moles of Sb atom in the Sb compound contained in 1 ton polymer). |
