COATING METHOD FOR GLASS SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a coating film having a uniform thickness while preventing flawing and contaminating. SOLUTION: Flaws 20 and 21 constituting at least the contour of a product part are put on a glass substrate 1 and after the coating film is formed thereon, the glass substrate 1 is cut together with the coating film at the portions of the flaws 20 and 21. The flawing to the glass substrate 1 is executed prior to the formation of the coating film and, therefore, the coating film does not exist at the time of the blowing stage. Then, the flawing and contaminating of the coating film are averted. A coating film 5 of the product part cut out by the flaw 20 constituting the contour has a uniform film thickness.
