PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for skin-beautifying drinks or foods capable of arranging the physical conditions of a drinker or eater, normalizing the turnover of skin, enhancing the water content of the skin, and changing the state of the skin into a fresh, wet and beautiful skin state by adding the enzymatic partial degradation product of guar gum. SOLUTION: This composition for skin-beautifying drinks or foods contains a guar gum enzymatic partial degradation product preferably having a viscosity of 3-30 cps. The guar gum enzymatic partial degradation product is obtained, for example, by adding citric acid to 900 g of water to prepare an aqueous solution having pH 3.0, adding 100 g of guar gum powder and 0.2 g of β- mannanase originated from a bacterium belonging to the genus Aspergillus to the prepared aqueous solution, subjecting the solution to an enzymatic reaction at 40-45 deg.C for 24 hr, heating the reaction product at 90 deg.C for 15 min to deactivate the enzyme, filtering off insolubles, and then spray-drying the obtained clear filtrate. The enzymatic partial degradation product is preferably taken at a daily dose of 0.3-0.5 g/Kg body weight. |
