PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress machining-basis trembling via a simple operation. SOLUTION: The control system for NC machine tools includes a spindle rotating speed control part 50 for setting a spindle to a preset rotating speed via a spindle motor 2, a first decision part 51 for determining the necessity for auxiliary function commands for spindle varying control to make valid or invalid the spindle rotating speed varying control of varying the spindle rotating speed within a prescribed range out of the preset rotating speed, and a second decision part 52 for determining the necessity for tool-by-tool commands to make valid or invalid the spindle rotating speed varying control for every tool. When at least either of the first and second decision parts 51 and 52 determines that the spindle rotating speed varying control be valid, the spindle rotating speed control part 50 effects this varying control.
